Memories

Yesterday I was walking from seeing if the fish market was opened on 106. I was/am feining for some steamed fish & shrimp!! Anyway as I was coming back with disappointment I ran into an old high school friend. Lauren* was actually the very first person I met at Humanities High (I did my sr. yr there). We quickly brought each other up to speed on our lives and what we're currently doing. I dropped the news that I was leaving and she AT FIRST was sad about it, but then she told me sometimes you have to do what makes you happy regardless of what other people think.
Whats funny about this story is her bff is "Darnell". Remember a few months ago I told you about a really good friend who basically said I would fall flat on my face if I would go out there. So as I was talking to her, he was behind me because they were meeting each other. It funny sometimes how life works... I havent seen neither of them in months and when I do its together. I didn't turn around to look at him and he didnt try to settle things with me, So I guess cutting off the friendship with him was the best thing I could've done. However losing a friend still hurts.
